Before Friday 2.30pm...

Hello!

Well, its three days to Friday 2.30 pm and by now i don't have to explain what that day is. I just thought that i'd write some of my (really rather random) thoughts before results arrive.

First of all, we're all probably quaking in our boots at the very thought of that day (okay i am), and who's to blame us? We spent two years on this. That said, i wish all of you a megahuge GOOD LUCK! and i hope that day turns out happy =) Thing to remember for those of us who're nervous - we did our very best, and that's honestly really what counts, even though right now it seems trite to say so. But hey think about it - it wouldn't BE trite if there wasn't any truth in it right :P Also, no point worrying le! we can't actively do anything (yes i know that doesn't stop the anxiety but i figured i'd say it anyway...)

Should Friday not be that happy (yes my hands are firmly on wood cos my comp table is made of wood) even if it doesn't seem like it, it isn't the end of the world! Okay, yet another over-used phrase. But then i realised, we're already pretty blessed to have made it so far yea? I mean, we studied in the (okayokay one of the) top school(s) in the country, we had wonderful teachers, and last but certainly not least, we had each other =) Two years, i felt, was not nearly enough with you guys, but i'm sure there'll be plenty more years of friendship to come!

I also realise that Friday is the last day we will be 6f completely. That is not necessarily the worst thing ever - people who can't move on won't really get anywhere. I hold no illusions - i know it will be the last or close to last time i see some of you :( Its sad because its the end of a phase of our lives, but personally it was a happy two years, so i'm not complaining now =) And a large part of my thanks for that goes to you guys!

So now we move past the age of tutorials, mad games of cap's ball/bball/bridge, outings to sentosa or to play pool or ice-skate, the birthdays celebrated together, the study sessions together, the total non-attention in certain lessons coughgpcough, the jokes, scandals and everything else that made school fun.

I am ready to let go knowing that all of you will achieve wonderful, brilliant things - i think we all have that spark of potential in us (come let's do this without sounding egoistic) so all we have to do is to find our way. And along the way there'll be friends and family to lend a helping hand! For these two years at least, thank you for being part of my life, thank you for being that helping hand. Personal thanks were done before the A levels, so here's a combined one for you all - i won't ever forget even a single one of you.

Here's hoping that your lives, wherever they take you, will bring you lots of success, friendship, love and most importantly, happiness!

ALL THE BEST!

P.S. who’s for a game of bridge on Friday to celebrate old times?

And for those who are still really really down about the last of class-dom now that we're out of school:

Don't cry because it's over - smile because it happened =)
